Commentary

This does appear to be the exotic shrub, English (cherry) laurel. It is a pest and has escaped and naturalized in the PNW. It is not on the state of Oregon Noxious Weed List, so it can still be bought and sold legally. For more info see the ODA Noxious Weed Program. I have forwarded your report to the Upper Willamette Cooperative Weed Managment group: https://www.oregon.gov/ODA/programs/Weeds/Pages/CWMA.aspx
