Many shrub like plants that resemble rhododendron plants at first glance. Range in height from an inch (saplings) to 3 feet tall. When larger than about a 1 foot, they produce dark purple berries in the early summer. Myself and my neighbors have been trying to eradicate them for several years now once we discovered what they were. My main concern is that is the make their way to Oak Creek they will spread to the point of being impossible to control in the area. Before we started trying to eradicate them, they had become the dominate forest floor covering within 5 years.
