Description of specimen

Carpobrotus, I believe Carpobrotus chilensis but could also be C. edulis. Commonly called sea fig or ice plant. Didn't get any photos unfortunately but if you know this plant, identification is fairly unproblematic as there are no native or any other non-invasive plants with a creeping habit and the long-triangular succulent leaves. You can confirm with iNaturalist observations.

Commentary

Avatar of commenter Thank you for the your submission to the hotline. Carpobroutus spp. are not listed as noxious weeds in Oregon or Curry County, but we do have populations in our natural areas. Carpobroutus chilensis is the most common species reported on Oregon Flora and populations have previously been reported at Indian Sands. This report will be forwarded to Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) for their review. In 2019 OPRD and Curry SWCD partnered in manually treat numerous sites on State Parks in this area. Sites included Pistol River, Whaleshead, Indian Sands, Lone Ranch, and Cape Ferrelo.
