Poison Hemlock (Conium maculatum) on Feb 3, 2026

Submitter does not have a specimen

Description of specimen

Lacy, carrot-like leaves, still only inches tall as of 3 February, growing at a location where poison hemlock grew last year.

For clarity, I confirm that last year's plants had tall, smooth, hollow stems with purple spots, and a mousy stink when crushed. And they bloomed a good six weeks before the wild carrot/Queen Anne's lace did.
