Description of specimen

We have photos, there are so many that on a single day I killed at least 40 or 50 that had just been landing on me. Black, spots. long with the horns.

Avatar of commenter Thanks for your report. This is not Asian longhorn beetle. This looks to be a native pine sawyer beetle. They are not considered a timber pest as they only attack trees that are freshly killed by fire, other bark beetles, or drought. They do not attack dry, finished wood.
