Description of specimen

Even this early in spring, the shoot is already almost my height (I'm 6'2" so it was probably at least 4'). Appearance is bamboo like, green with redish speckles, sheathing leaf bases common to Polygonaceae and almost heart shaped leaves with a truncate base. Plant found in a low spot, near turnout, but no water body immediately adjacent. Possible other site where this came from just next door. Recent brush clearing has seen a flush of new growth that appears similar. Observations supported by Seek app and reviewing plant ID books. (sprayed with some herbicide since pictures were taken, but I doubt that will be enough, just noting this if appearance differs in person later)
