Description of specimen

This is either knotweed or Japanese knotweed. I drive and walk by specimens everyday. Some colonies large and some small. I know what normal looking knotweed is supposed to look like. This specimen is different. It looks like it’s under stress by something. Could be a fungus, bacteria, insect, I’m not sure. All I know is that it’s out of the ordinary which is why I’m reporting it. The leaves are a pale yellow with small dots of green on them. Some leaves even look more orange reddish than just yellow. Some also have holes in them although I’m not sure if that is from the same thing.
