Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis) on May 7, 2026
Submitter has sample EDRR Status: Local expert notified
Description of specimen
Galleries on branches of trees ID'd from physical examination of impacted trees.
Commentary
ODF visited the three sites in King City. At the site on Romeo, with the landscape maintenance contractor for the subdivision who submitted the report, EAB confirmed. Galleries observed and one adult, ready to emerge, was found and collected. These Raywood trees appear to be declining due to Verticillium wilt, however. Only a few EAB galleries were found when bark was peeled. Photo attached here is one that I took.
