Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis) on May 11, 2026
Submitter does not have a specimen
Description of specimen
Several large limbs are dead and the foliage around many more is dead and / or dying.
Commentary
Thanks for the report - ODF staff visited this site on 5/13 and inspected the tree in the report, and the other adjacent 3 street ash trees.
There were signs of tree canopy decline and dieback, however, all could be attributed to other factors like pre-existing damage from pruning and age. At this time, no EAB exit holes or indicative bark splits were present.
I spoke with the reporters about follow up actions to maintain the health of this beautiful large tree, such as working with an ISA certified arborist.
