Description of specimen

Submitter does not have a specimen

No adult seen, but bark bulging and a few D-shaped exits holes. Potential woodpecker scraping. Canopy healthy though.

Commentary

Avatar of commenter ODF staff visited the site on 6/30/2026. The bark split revealed no signs of EAB. The exit holes were not the size or shape of EAB. EAB was not found at this site, but this site would be a good site for future monitoring.

Mt Talbert nature park, along Sunnyside Road Trail prior to Cedar Park Trail intersection.
