Commentary
Thanks so much Doug for this report of purple loosestrife. I have shared this with Oregon Parks and Rec. I really appreciate your reports. It is extremely valuable to have someone knowledgeable of invasive plants out there looking. Please keep up the important work! Tania

HI Again Doug,
Here is a response to your reports from Scott Youngblood:
Thanks for this information. We have an ongoing project along this stretch of river with the McKenzie River Trust, Long Tom Watershed Council, Lane County Parks, Northwest Youth Corps, and neighbors. NYC pulled and dug many of the loosestrife from this little pond last summer. We might have them out again to do follow up work. The Tree of Heaven may be on MRT property. We will try to hunt it down. I am not sure if we can do anything about the knapweed. It is on most gravel bars from the McKenzie to Peoria. Take care, Scott

Location
the end of a pond next to a side channel of the Willamette river at Beacon Land County Park. I placed the marker on the map very precisely.
