First red swamp crayfish was found on land 4 feet from water's edge in October 2012. Second red swamp crayfish was found on land 10 feet from water's edge. It had bits of soil all over its body and I suspect it had been burrowing. Later, a trap was placed underwater nearby and over the course of one week two signal crayfish were caught and released. No other red swamp sightings to date but will keep them if found.
