Description of specimen

There is knotweed on the north side of California St. Home Forward will be paving this road in Spring 2013 and will also be revegetating this area. I have mentioned to them that a patch of knotweed is in this location and that I would like to see the contractor excavate the knotweed during their construction. They seemed receptive, but I wanted to report it as well.

Hi, Rachel. Thanks for your email. I've been watching (and partially treating) this patch for a couple of years, now and it's somewhat reduced. I'm very glad you've talked to Home Forward about it, and would like to know who you talked to so I can add my two cents. If you happen to still have contact info, could you forward it to me at mitch.bixby@portlandoregon.gov? If not, I'll try to catch up with them somehow.

In any event, we'll continue to monitor this site as long as the EDRR program exists.
