Description of specimen

Pokeweed growing in front planting bed on N side of 2714 NE 26th Ave property in the shade of a monkey puzzle tree. ID'd based on 4-County CWMA flyer. Purple stems, ovate leaves.

Commentary

Hi, thanks for the report. You may know that, with the number of plants we've found in the last 3 years, pokeweed is now outside the capacity of city government to manage. We encourage interested folks, though, to talk with homeowners as seems appropriate. Additional resources continue to appear online as a means of getting the word out and prompting affected landholders to act.
