Description of specimen

We saw an aggressive snapping turtle attempting to lay eggs on June 8, 2014. Upon disturbance, it hauled itself off northwards towards the nearby pond.

Commentary

It is unclear whether snapping turtles are considered invasive enough to warrant action so we did not capture it.
