Good Morning Norma,

I want to thank you for reporting this sighting to the Oregon Invasives Hotline. Reports such as these help us to prioritize invasive species control efforts, and plan future activities. So thank you for taking the time to report this infestation.

As we discussed yesterday, the infestation occurs in what appears to be a privately held parcel to the south and west of your property. The City of Happy Valley has a nuisance ordinance in place requiring all noxious vegetation to kept at a height less than 10 inches.

I strongly encourage you to contact Happy Valley Code Enforcement (http://www.happyvalleyor.gov/?nid=94) to protect your fence and property from invasion. They will work with your neighbor to manage the property. If you or the adjacent landowner needs help putting together a treatment plan for the site, we would be happy to assist you.

Thanks again for your report. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,

Samuel Leininger
