Commentary

Good afternoon Ms. Stout,

Thank you for reporting this infestation of False brome. False brome is a priority species in Clackamas County, and the Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District is actively working to survey and treat known infestations of False brome.

Unfortunately, the resources required to control this invader are limited in relation to the overall need. As such we are currently exerting significant efforts on the upper portions of the Clackamas River Watershed, in an effort to help maximize our impact.

We are aware of the infestation in that area and are currently working with regional partners to help prioritize future control efforts, and respond more explicitly to the infestation you reported. So thank you for taking the time to report. All the best,

Sam
