Description of specimen
purple loosestrife- small plant, just a few stems, blooming, about 3 ft. tall. This is discription of plant at boat landing.
Commentary
Has this species been reported in the area of Hileman park previously?

Thank you for report of purple loosestrife. It is not an uncommon plant in the valley riparian areas. There are three biological control agents that are established in most areas where the weed exists that are doing an effective job of keeping weed populations in check.

Location
Near the water at the old Hileman boat landing. Also west from this location,on other side of water, where this section of water ends.
