Commentary

Hi Karen,

Thanks so much for reporting Lesser Celandine. With its bright yellow flowers its rapid spread is particularly visible this time of year. This plant poses a threat to valuable riparian and wetland habitats. Thank you so much for being willing to share information about lesser celandine with your friends and neighbors. Only with private land owners taking action on their own land will we have a chance to prevent the spread of this species. Glenn Miller at Oregon Department of Agriculture has agreed to bring you a stack of their brochure about this species. Please contact Glenn [gmiller@oda.state.or.us]‎ to let him know how he may reach you. If you give him your address he would drop off the brochures to your house. Thanks again for your help and concern!

Sincerely,
Tania
