Description of specimen

Brown [Cane(?)] Spider - Not the same spider, but just as described in the following link, "as big as a tuna fish can." I do not have a picture, but it looked just like the one pictured at: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://kauaidawn.com/Kauai/KauaiImages/KapaaHome/CaneSpider.JPG&imgrefurl=http://kauaidawn.com/Kauai/DawnsAdventures19.htm&h=222&w=238&sz=12&hl=en&start=2&sig2=06loFzryogT1LqcXw3vIEA&tbnid=OhM7R7d5cNDH_M:&tbnh=102&tbnw=109&ei=C5iOSPbdM5WuoQTWhqy-Bw&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcane%2Bspider%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG

Commentary

J. Harold, thanks for your report of a brown cane spider. Your description certainly matches this species, however, it's not possible to fully confirm without a picture. Nevertheless, we do appreciate your report.
