Description of specimen

1 nutria multiple occasions. To my knowledge, it has come into the yard only once.

Commentary

Thank you for submitting this report. Nutria are now common in wetlands and streams throughout the Portland Metro area. Nutria are also prolific breeders, so you may see more nutria in the future.

If you are interested in keeping nutria out of your yard, one option would be to bury a fence about one foot to prevent burrowing.
