Description of specimen

The plant looks like a tall grass or maybe a bamboo. It is about 10 ft tall or a little taller. Can you help me identify it? I am worried it might be a knotweed, and I have heard they are very invasive. I haven't ever seen one, but my understanding is they look something like bamboo.
