Commentary

Good Morning Mr. Kliewer,

Thank you for contacting the Oregon Invasive Species Hotline. It is great to see local residents taking an active role in invasive weed management. So thank you for taking the time to report this infestation of Japanese knotweed.

We are actively controlling this plant in much of the Sandy Basin and this observation will assist us as we move forward with planning our Fall treatments. I am sharing your observation with, Weed Specialist, Sarah Hamilton (shamilton@conservationdistrict.org, 503-210-6015) who is spearheading our efforts in the area.

Once again, thank you for contacting the Oregon Invasive Species Hotline and for your efforts in helping improve invasive weed management in our area.

Sincerely,

Sam
