Hi Tim, the insect pictured is a Prionus beetle, definitely not the Invasive European species Tetropium fuscum (commonly known as the Brown Spruce Longhorn beetle). Prionus beetles feed on the roots of trees and shrubs as larvae and are native to the PNW.
