False Brome (Brachypodium sylvaticum) on Sep 12, 2016

Submitter does not have a specimen

Description of specimen

The false brome was a bright green with hairs along the leaf margins and on the leaf blade. On the flowering head, the seeds were attached directly (no peduncle). I removed the seed heads to prevent spread. The patch consisted of about 10 plants covering 30 feet, with a 40 percent cover. I did not survey the surrounding area.
