Description of specimen

Beetles were found on fallen logs that had been recently cut to clear the trail on 07/05/17. There were several log rounds sitting near the trail where several adult beetles were found as well as on cut logs perpendicular to the trail. Not sure if these are indeed Anoplophora glabripennis, but they look quite similar. Would be willing to collect specimens if needed, or show others the exact location where the beetles were found. Is there an authority I should contact on this matter?

Commentary

Correct, this is a Monochamus spp. which is a native sawyer often confused with ALB. ALB *usually* have larger bodies, shiny bodies and their patterns are a little different. Good ID!
