Description of specimen

Took a photo of this roadside wildflower, then noticed that it looked like the hawkweed photo in the zig zag ranger station.

Commentary

Thank you for your sharp eyes Jessie! This is indeed orange hawkweed. ODA will be treating orange and meadow hawkweed (one of the yellow varieties) along Lolo Pass Rd. east of the pass during the week of July 24th. We'll keep an eye out for this patch!

Along the south side of east lolo pass road, after a few turns past the biggest rut in the road (if driving north).
