Description of specimen

Same as above description.

It's hard to give a complete report as to where I've seen it since it's all over. Tansy is all over every road I've traveled on in Clackamas and Marion counties, also seen in pastures/roadsides all the way to Lincoln City. It seems to be especially abundant everywhere this year and many people are reporting no Cinnabar larvae or moths. We didn't have any on what we pulled on our property. We've pulled (not cut nor sprayed, but pulled) everything on our 23 acres but many of our neighbors have not. We live on S Thomas Rd, between Wilhoit and the Silverton Highway. The state and county roads are thick with it along the roadsides. There are whole fields of it many areas.

Last year, many of us made complaints to Clackamas County and all we saw was the roadside weeds were cut. I would think the county would realize cutting it down only causes it to re-bloom on the shorter stalks. It has to be pulled after it blooms since it will bloom again on anything left to grow. Spraying after it's in bloom won't help since the spray may kill the plant but the bloom and seeds are still there. Once the plant is in bloom, NOTHING will keep the seeds from forming and casting their 250,000 deadly missiles into the air.

PLEASE REINSTATE FINES FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TANSY ON THEIR PROPERTY AND WHO DON'T EVEN TRY TO CONTROL TANSY RAGWORT !!!!! Many of us will report it!!!!

Thank you,
Connie Wheeler
