Description of specimen

Thousands of rosettes, a few plants apparently seeding as annuals. Plants mostly look drought-stressed but alive. Also, there's a patch of policeman's helmet in a ravine just north of the law school campus driveway.

Commentary

Hey, Eric. Thanks for that. In years past, the volunteers at Tryon Creek have pulled along that trail, but possibly not far enough this year? I'll pass this along to them. I'm also curious about the policeman's helmet. I'll check back with you for directions.
