Commentary

Hi Vince, thanks for your report of Scotch Broom. The Oregon Department of Transportation is working to deal with invasive species along many roadsides in Oregon. Unfortunately, disturbance is one factor that gives invasive species an "edge" over native species, so ODOT is dealing with invasive species on almost all roadsides. They usually manage invasives via mowing and chemical applications during routine maintenance. Thanks for your report!
