Description of specimen

There is purple loosestrife at the beaver ponds site closer to Neahkahnie. The map below shows Doris Hassler - Davis Memorial Pond and upstream the loosestrife keeps getting worse. It is visible from Nehalem Road and the flower are spent. I believe this is Tillamook’s jurisdiction and not manzanita. Loosestrife runs to the culvert.

Thanks, Denielle. Tillamook SWCD will be partnering with Oregon State Parks, ODA and The Wetlands Conservancy to address the infestation.

Also there is knotweed near Neahkanie Mountain in one patch on the beach side adjacent to the river rocks and woody debris along the ocean. I don’t have the state parks contact information but an wondering if you do.
