Description of specimen

Can see the yellow flowers and heart-shaped leaves in both places. Have lived on this road almost 30 years and walk here often. Always look at what’s in bloom. This is the first year I’ve noticed that plant and went home to look it up right away. Clumps and scattered individual plants in both wet areas.

Remedy

For small patches, plants can be dug up in their entirety (be sure to get all roots and the small bulbils that break off to form new plants - you may need to sift through your soil to get these). Do not compost or put in your yard debris bin any below-ground parts of the plant (tubers and bulbils) as they can be spread this way. The leaves and flowers are ok to compost or put in yard debris. Location

In the rivulet that runs along the south side on the steep hill on SW Shadow Wood Drive and in the wet ditch on the east side of SW Greenway Circle. Both feed into the Tualatin River.
