Description of specimen

Truthfully, couldn't tell if Japanese or Giant. The leaves are pretty large, and the red stalks are absent. Likely Giant or Bohemian. One large cluster to the south (uphill) of the bamboo screen, another slightly north (downhill, but before the bamboo), and one small cane sprouting up to the north (downhill) of the screen. Saw with traffic cone markings, so likely has already been reported? Did not take photo, as it was in somebody else's yard. Noticed it for the first time this morning, confirmed the plant this evening upon returning from work.
