Description of specimen

Major infestation of Yellow Flags occurring over perhaps at least 1 km of shoreline on W/NW shore of Cape Meares Lake. Estimated over 10,000 blooming individuals detected during ODFW avian survey on 5/15/2018. Plants occurring in dense band at margin of water, with many areas almost approaching monoculture-like densities.

Observer an avian biologist with Oregon Dept Fish and Wildlife with familiarity with invasive plants. Plants observed from survey location on dike separating lake from Tillamook Bay. Plants observed with spotting scope.

Also several clusters of Yellow Flags noted by same observer 50-100 m W of boat ramp on Cape Meares Lake on 5/13/18.
