Description of specimen

Could be garden loosestrife, though it's in a garden so maybe a similar-looking ornamental.

Commentary

Luckily this looks like the much less aggressive Lysimachia punctata, or large yellow loosestrife. It has larger flowers that nestle into the leaf axils along the stem. Lysimachia vulgaris has smaller flowers in clusters at the top. See the attached image of a L. vulgaris plant found last year (also thanks to the hotline!) for comparison.
