They are red headed ash borers I have done the research.

Thanks for reporting this! I deal more with invasive plants, so I followed up with an insect expert and I don't think there's a record of this eastern species in Oregon. It could be something else that looks very similar, but just to be safe, you should submit a report (see link below) to the Oregon Department of Agriculture and attach a photo of the insect. They should be able to positively ID it if the photo is high quality and has enough detail and then an ODA entomologist will get back to you. Once the species is confirmed, this will help determine control recommendations (if needed).
