Description of specimen

Very tall (approx. 12'), large leaf, purple/red stalk. Was growing rapidly, inches a day. First noticed it last year, but didn't know what it was. This year it is very strong and has multiplied in size/stalks. I inquired about what it was on Nextdoor and learned of Pokeweed. I immediately cut the stocks down, but have not tried to remove roots after reading your article. Hoping your program can help me with removal of roots?
