Description of specimen

Black body, black and white striped antennae, approximately 2 inches long

Commentary

Nice picture, and, luckily, not an ALB, but a native Monochamus species. The white-spotted sawyer is a common long-horned beetle species in our forests. Thank you for keeping an eye out for invasive pests.

Campsite approximately 6-6.5 miles from the Badger Lake Trail #479 trailhead. The campsite was the first one after approximately 2.5 miles of steeper terrain with no campsites. GPS Coordinates approximately 45.292175, -121.492408.
