Description of specimen

Several plants were planted along the street a few years ago. Not sure who actually owns the planting strip, but they are large and vigorous (and not too far from a street drain).

Dear Andy,

Thanks so much for your report of butterfly bush. I will look into who should be notified. Butterfly bush is very invasive and presents problems especially in waterways. Your note about it being near a storm water drain raises a red flag. Although there generally not enough resources to go after every invader, this population may be targeted since there is a risk of spread into the Willamette River.
