Description of specimen

The discovered invasive weed is known as Goat Head Weed, the scientific name of this species is Tribulus Terrestris.

Commentary

Hi Gerald,
Thank you for reporting this noxious weed! You're right that there are not a lot of known infestations in Marion County, though it is common in some other places around the state. This particular weed causes a lot of damage and can be difficult to control.
The map shows a different location than the one you described. Please contact me with location information so we can look into it further.
