Description of specimen

Minimum 3-4 nutria spotted on Sept. 15, 8am. We’ve lived here 8yrs and this is our first sighting.

Commentary

Thank you for your report! Unfortunately nutria are a common sight in the Portland area and many other places in Oregon. Depending on the needs of the site and potential damage nutria are or may be causing, they are sometimes removed. If you have concerns about nutria at Grant Butte, you can contact Metro, who manages this park.
