Description of specimen

One plant in backyard has red stems and dark berries like images I have seen of poke weed.

Hi, Dave. Thanks for the report. With all the rain in the forecast, you should have some luck digging out the roots. The problem is that leftover roots fragments can grow new plants, AND digging will problem inspire other seeds in the soil to sprout. So, keep an eye out in May for seedlings and jump on them before they get settled. Let me know if you every have any questions about it.
