Description of specimen

Appeared to be an adult .. crossed property about 9:15 PM -headed somewhat North towards Taylors Ferry... (but me holding a spotlight on it might have been a motivating factor in its direction also?)

Commentary

Thank you for your report! Unfortunately nutria are a common sight in the Portland area and many other places in Oregon. Depending on the needs of the site and potential damage nutria are or may be causing, they are sometimes removed, but our nutria populations are healthy and others will often return.
