Large cocoon. Too high in a tree to see specifics.

Location

I work at Pelton Park Campground in Madras. A camper told us yesterday that they spotted what they think to be a big gypsy moth cocoon about 40 feet up in a tree that hangs above our swim beach. We wanted to make sure to report it just in case they are right about it being a gypsy moth.
