Description of specimen

I have found over 30 moths on the side on my garage this morning. They are what I believe to be the gypsy moth. They are brown large moths and have yellow antennae that sort of look like feathers.

Commentary

Dear Emily, thank you for contacting us. Luckily, this is not a Gypsy moth, but rather the native Pandora moth. This year, is a big year for this native moth. The caterpillars of the Pandora moth feed on the first year growth of our Douglas fir trees. Thank you and best regards, Helmuth Rogg
