Land Plants - non-native

Spanish Bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica) on Apr 24, 2008

Description of specimen

We believe it is called spanish bluebell or scilla and it is an oniony bulb that seems to be spreading everywhere in our neighborhood. It has blue or white bell flowers and we were wondering if this is an ivasive species or just a very persistant nursery plant. It certainly gets everywhere in our garden, especially where we don't want it.

Commentary

Is there a way to stop this plant by planting native species and if so, which ones would be good for our area- downtown Lake Oswego in a typical yard or garden.
