Commentary

Dear Jillian, thank you for the submission. Luckily, this is not an invasive oak borer, but a species of a different family, Cerambycidae, likely a species from the genus Xylotrechus, maybe Xylotrechus longitarsis. I was wrong with my initial ID. Here is the correct ID: Neoclytus conjunctus, it is a native species of the family Cerambycidae that also attacks oak. Thank you
