Young shoots of knotweed, not terribly extensive but ready to take off, I'm sure.

Location
Japanese knotweed found at Hileman Park (Lane County). It appears to be just starting as we've seen this on our hikes here before (30+ years). At the end of Hileman Lane in north Santa Clara (Eugene), through the locked gate, along the road to the north end of the pond between the road and pond.
