Commentary

Dear Rob, great image and thank you for contacting us. Luckily, this is not the invasive Asian Longhorned Beetle (ALB) but the native Oregon Fir Sawyer, Monochamus scutellatus. It can easily be confused with the ALB.

Location

Camp site 8 Saw a large beetle flying. It landed on the picnic table so we took a picture of it. Thinking it was just the banded alder beeetle we just watch until it left. After getting home , I looked it up and it appears to be the longhorn Asian beetle
