Description of specimen

Stands of Reed Canary Grass. We also have (and fight) other invasives on our property, including himalayan blackberry, english ivy, morning glory & teasel.

Commentary

Please confirm best methods for eradication of reed canary grass. We will be trying a combination of physical pulling + shovel-stabbing of the plant's rhizomes.

Remedy

Himalayan blackberry has gone by many names in the Pacific Northwest, and there is yet a common consensus on which species are here and what to call the most dominant species. However, control options are similar.

Location

Along the banks of upper Hall Creek, approximately 100 yards north of the 9400 block of Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, and just south of the intersection of 94th Avenue & Meadow Lane.
